Door Hinge Help

Hi Folks,

I am a newcomer to this site and have been very impressed with the help I have received just by searching, but with my current dilemma I have come to a dead end.

I am attempting my first "major" project in building an entertainment unit. I want to make some recessed panel doors and so far so good. I invested in a rail and stile Router Bit set and am having great success. I want to have the door slightly recessed into the openings and I need to source some offset hinges to hang them with. I spotted an article in a USA site that referred to "morticeless offset hinges" and they seem ideal but don't know where to find them in Melbourne.

I have attached a simple drawing showing what I mean. The orange lines indicate the profile of the hinge. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you considered concealled hinges

My local Mitre 10 has them! Maybe try one of the bigger ones near you and look at the packaged hinges.

Thanks for your help. Eventually tracked some down at Plyboard Distributers, 192 Princes Hwy Dandenong.
