iv gota do a quote to build a little set of stable for a woman.

10 4m square stables with a 4m wide covered walkway down teh front.

in total it will be 38m x 8m.

it will have only 2 walls and neither will be full heigh. there will be a 1m gap between the roof and top of wall.

question is.

dose shee need to get council aproval to build them or not?

iv never had to build stables of this size before and am not quite sure of teh rules.

it used to be that u didnt need a permit if the structure had less than 3 walls.

Carl your best bet is to talk to the council as the rules and regulations vary for different councils.

Yes - check with the council as to what is exactly required. What you are building is quite large and no doubt need structural design and certification etc

Carl,
My council (south west Sydney) require a permit for ANYTHING over 1200mm in height, prefab garden sheds, fences, retaining walls, naked lady fountains etc......
