Drill Stand

A new drill stand for my new drill press, ex-Stirlo

I didn't make the steel frame to busy trying to do other things I cut the MDF and afixed it and the wheels.

Considering putting a draw under the main MDF just so things are closer already have another grinder drill stand which has it all stored.

Its great I can use it from both chair or stool.

Ps Stirlo how the hell did you ever drill blanks for pens with that Chuck and Morse Tapper I don't know talk about oval shaped run out.

Wheelin, while it looks good, with all that weight up so high I'd be terrified it would tip over while it was being wheeled around especially if I was moving it from a seated postion. The other problem is the wheels are not very big so they would only have to hit a bolt or the edge of a piece of wood laying on the floor and . . . . . .

What about upping the weight down low, a solid concrete block maybe on that shelf would help

Bob no problem won't be moved that much front wheels are swivel locking and back stable. The length is greater to the rear by almost half again where weight will be due to motor etc. Have wheeled it round and had small bits of wood on the floor. tilt factor sideways also been tested may in the future put the wheels outrigger style but space a premium ATM:roll:

Things will be stored underneath till I decide about the draw my trolly jack & stands and a engineering vice or even the welder if it will fit. thats heavy.:2tsup:
