Had a good run last week and finally finished this one. Made mostly from northern silky, with a bit of red cedar and silver ash trim. It measures 340mm diameter and is 6mm thick.

That is a superb piece of work.

Russ, I did a WIP on the process a little while back. Sorry I can't give you directions to find it.

This piece would have to fit in the category of 'Masterpiece'. Well done.

Thanks for the nice comments folks.
Woodwould, about two days actual work but it was three weeks all up, including waiting for glue to dry and interuptions.

Jim, just gorgeous, you have to be very patience for such a time consuming job, but the endresult is a master piece. I love it.

Jim, very nice work, as always. I sure like your chisel work (plus the glue-lines, or rather the lack thereof.)

The segmented stuff is back for the national comp next year, so we are hoping you will enter.

Good to see you busy.

Absolutely remarkable:2tsup: I'm not a great fan of segmented turning but I sure can appreciate the craftsmanship and skill that goes into a piece of art like that.
