Our club has got a table at a craft fair here next weekend but there won't be much room on it with all the toy plane and gun kits we made up and bagged so anything else we want to sell needs to be small. One of the other blokes has the pen thing all tied up so I put these together to see how they'd go. If they don't sell I'll take 'em to Vic for xmas pressies! :U
Easy as pens to make. Only special tool required is a 25mm Forstner but you could even get away with hollowing with a small scraper if you were desperate (or too tight to buy a Forstner :( ). 25mm pin jaws make the job so easy it's ridiculous but you could use a piece of scrap as a jam chuck just as well.
I got the inserts from Carrolls for $7/pair (chrome plated) but Carbatec also have them for twice the price in silver plated (I can't pick the difference to be honest  )
Great way to use up some small pieces.:2tsup:

Those are great Vern. Very egg-like, with truncated ends.
