Dyco "woodworker" 5 in 1 machine

Has anybody out there used the Dyco "Woodworker" 5 in 1 machine ? (the one with the table saw, jointer, sanding disk attachment, and router/jigsaw table)

I am considering replacing the Triton setup with one of these machines and would appreciate feedback on the accuracy/ versatility of these machines. Of particular interest is the accuracy of the saw fence.

I have searched the forums and only found one person who has owns one thus far.. surely someone else has one? I've read Neil Scobies reveiw in Aust Woodworker mag.

I would love to have seperate table saw, jointer etc but space (and budget :( ) is limited

My brother has what I think is a TruPro version of the Dyco machine. He loves it. Much better than the Triton.

I have had a Dyco Woodworker for about 12 months- it replaced a Triton outfit -saw table and router table and all of the attachments. I bought it for 2 reasons -one to save space and also as I found the Triton a little too fiddly with all of the various attachments. I gave up on the triton when I bought the planer attachment - you've got to be kidding! How can anyone set that thing up to work properly.
The Dyco is an excellent machine as long as you realise it is a compromise due to the all-in one nature of the machine.The jointer works very well. The only problem with the table saw is that the blade cannot be tilted -you tilt the fence to cut angles.The standard fence is quite accurate although there are no markings.
I have fitted my triton router to the table and it works beautifully.
The only problem with the router table is that the hole is rather large and I have been unable to find any inserts to fit.If anyone knows of any that fit I would be pleased to hear. This leads me to my only real criticism with Dyco -they don't reply to emails. I have sent several in the last 12 months to ask about the inserts etc and did not receive a reply to any of them.
Otherwise I don't think you will be disappointed. It is very solid and well made.

Dyco, saw it at the Perth Woodshow retailing around the $1500 mark good entry level combination unit produced in Auckland NZ.

Didn't enquire into it too much but was a terriffic option to look at opposed to the larger machines on various displays and like the old Durden Pacemaker it gives all those functions available at a fraction of the larger machines cost but naturally is constrained by it's own limitations with a proviso for a Router to be mounted.
Solid cast Tables adding a bit of weight to the machine.
Also available the Dyco router around the 2hp size that is of course compatible.

Dereg I have just been talking to Ross from Dyco in regard to the size of the hole in the tables and getting various size inserts for the machine to suit smaller router bits. He is going to look into it.
He apologises for not returning emails , he generally follows through with these.

Dereg,I got the impression that the Dyco Router was a recent addition to its stable and may have not been added to the web-site as such to date.

The router is a new addition and was just released at the Sydney show. It is a 2 1/4hp variable speed unit and comes standard with all the normal fittings you usually get with a router, 1/2" collet and reducer to 1/4" ,fence, spanners etc
We sell them for $299.00. If you are in the market for the 5 in 1 woodworker or the router table you can add the router for an extra $179.00.

Yes I did see the Dyco at the Newcastle Wood Show, which is what got me thinking about it in the first place. However, I forgot to ask a couple of questions then, which I'd like to ask you now :D

1. What's the overall weight?

2. Is the motor an induction type?

3. What would be the total price for the Dyco, the router and the extras like the wheel kit, extensions, dust chute etc??
