Hi.
This open segmented Bowl is made from Beech, Cedar, Purpleheart and Teak.
The measurements is: 180 mm in diameter, 85 mm in hight, wallthickness 5 mm, all segments 6 mm in hight. Building and Turning time 8 hours and 30 minutes.
Finishing: Sanded to 400 grit and two layers of Boiled Linseed Oil.

Michael, now the bowl do not hold water, but I have a Vase in the same technique that hold water.
Soth, yes I have designed the pattern in a software called Woodturner Studio.

Oooer! I really like this one. Nicely done!
I think it might've looked better if the sides were fuller, more rounded and less conical. A "pregnant curve" if you know what I mean?
Still, I'm only nit-picking... jealousy's a terrible thing, eh? :;
