G'day I have just joined today and looking for some advice.

I am building a new home with a deck/verandah around it (195 M2) so a lot to clean and oil!
It is in an area without town water and so I do not have ready access to water except for a small water tank some distance from the house site. It is a 3 acre block.
My question (finally) is i believe you should pressure clean Merbau before oiling.
I cannot do this so will buckets of water and a stiff broom be OK before oiling.
I am favouring Aussieclear to use as the oil.
Any advice/opinions would be greatly received.

Mick:rolleyes:

Mick,

Go to the renovate fourms and there is a therad there I think it's by Utemad. It will probably answer most of your questions.

Cleaning and Oiling your Deck - Renovate Forums (http://www.renovateforum.com/f196/cleaning-oiling-your-deck-75429/)

Here's the link.

Thankyou everyone for the welcome and links.

I take it them that you do not need to pressure spray a deck and that a good broom, buckets of water and napisan is OK.

Has anybody used Preschem Aussieclear deck oil?:U
