New Brand of Tools

I was in Bunnings today mooching around in the tool department and noticed a new brand of circular saw and 18 volt cordless drill. It looks like Makita has joined the ranks of the elcheapo brands. They had the name Maktek on them and a little label on with name saying made by Makita at about half the price of a real Makita tool.

There are new brands coming out of the woodwork everywhere.

Looks like Makita are trying to recapture some of their lost market.

Seems like this brand has taken over the smaller tool shops around here.

That 18v driver isnt too bad. Makita needs to innovate some more - ie it could use something along the lines of the B&D Spitfire attachment...
