Jarah one of my favourite timbers. Looks really nice, Maybe put it on coasters to make it easier to move (The type that are like a large ball bearing in a flange that screw to the base.) It will help with the setting up as well. Love your work it is really well finished. :2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

Nice unit meuls, are they backing plates for the handles on the drawers?

meuls69

nope:wink: they are the handles:-) thought it up yesterday, did them to match the through mortice and wedges on the gables. they finish flush, to match the minimum overhang of the U

The last pics i'll put up:q. Just to show how the handles work, and the finished job in the house:U ( i know the speakers look way to big:q,) Thanks for the kind words guys, it is good to finally get to spend some time in the shed:2tsup: PS i am almost out off ebony, i have had the one piece for about 5 years and it is almost gone. I use it for little bits in my work. Does anyone know a supplier in brissie where i could get a bit more from.

I bet the boss is happy!

For more Ebony, Sitco Australia (http://www.woodworkforums.com/members/sitco-australia/) is a member here with Solomon Islands Queen Ebony (http://www.sitcoaustralia.com.au/queen_ebony.php)

No connections, just trying to be of some small help.

Ahhhhh I see a pic is worth 1000 words... tricky handles!

Yep them speakers look out of place, build some new ones from jarrah to match(with ebony highlights of course).
