I own a Metabo screw gun about five or six years old, recently I was using it to drive roofing Teks and the clutch started slipping badly, so I abandoned it and used an ordinary drill with a 5/16th Tek tip to finish the job.
The gun has done it's share of work but by no means has it been flogged, probably 10,000 screws tops.
I took it for repair and the mechanic rang me today to tell me that parts for the gun were no longer available, in other words the gun is now junk.
So it looks as though Metabo tools have gone the way of some others and become throw aways, that's the last Metabo I buy.
Bought a new (Makita) gun today.
