TTIT 17th January 2010, 11:41 PM He used to be a member of the foum, but I beleive he "outgrew" usI think it was just a case of the hormones kickin' in - give him a few years, kids, mortgage etc - he'll be back :;
funkychicken 17th January 2010, 11:44 PM He used to be a member of the foum, but I beleive he "outgrew" us
School and hockey commitments meant he had no time nor money for woodwork.
China 18th January 2010, 01:30 AM I was trying to be politicaly correct
Allen Neighbors 19th January 2010, 12:07 PM Yep. Stirlo. :)
Ozkaban 19th January 2010, 12:35 PM School and hockey commitments meant he had no time nor money for woodwork.
Yup. I bought a bunch of his timber off him when he was clearing out his shed. He was off to Canberra to study and play more hockey (probably not in that order:D ) if I remember correctly.
Nice guy to meet, and I'm sure he'll be back someday.
Cheers,
Dave

corbs 30th March 2010, 09:09 PM Whilst you're in Canberra make sure you go for a drive out to the woodworks gallery in Bungendore... really an awesome gallery and there's at least one average woodworker out there too:rolleyes:
wheelinround 30th March 2010, 09:29 PM Surely Corbs you wouldn't tease the young fellow like that he's selling off more pen gear maybe he needs a lathe to turn them on.
ss_11000 30th March 2010, 09:32 PM its on my list of things to do :)
dont worry ray i have a few blanks and kits ready to turn... if i need to make them up ill ask around somewhere :)

Sawdust Maker 30th March 2010, 10:27 PM Stirlo
Good luck with the hockey (but I can't work out why you'd want to play in the frosty/icy/bloomin cold conditions in Canberra)
My oldest (nearly 13) scored his first goal on Saturday - only took 47 games
cost me a pizza :D (or two)
Anyway I think there are a multitude of woodies to visit in the area
ss_11000 30th March 2010, 10:38 PM congrats on the first goal :D they are always good. i cant remember mine though.
na, canberra isnt bad (so far). the competition seems pretty good.
Ozkaban 31st March 2010, 10:47 AM Glad to hear you're going OK in Canberra Stirlo. I was down there last weekend for a short break, and a fortnight earlier for a single day for work. It's a nice spot!
I'm still working my way through that pile of wood I bought off you last year... Still enjoying it :D
Cheers,
Dave
