A great first box, Gunado.
We're looking for the next one now. Any plans after all the encouragement from the Forum?

Graham,
I got the bug with the jewel box I made for my grand daughter, but now really getting into it, starting doing dovetails and lookiing to do finger joints as well. I have had some great imput and insperation from a good mate, going to try some inlay next. Also looking around for a s/h Gifkins.

Just pointed out to me I forgot to mention the timber I used. The timber is Tassie Oak and Rosewood.

Phill,
Now i wasn't going to mention that the next step may be a clever jointing system.
I've made a few dovetailed boxes and i love the look of them- so do most of my (male) friends. But be aware that others like simplicity- I think someone else said that here. Don't make your jewellery boxes look like tool boxes. ( Even if you want to show the world you can cut dovetails). The japanese even make hidden dovetail joints- I hear a lot of people saying 'What's the point of that?'
