Howdy all,

I have searched but I know I am useing the wrong the search parameters.

Can anyone tell or direct me to a thread about non powerd lathes like they usesd to use in the "olden days".

I would like to make one.

Asia/middle east you might see one powered with a bow, with the string wrapped once around the spindle.

Its a treadle lathe I want to buy when my ship comes in, but its also a great design to copy.

I built myself a Pole Lathe using recycled timbers and after some subtle refinements, it works a treat :)
