$100
2 days
2.4 m long

16mm mdf
some 35mm edge strips
1/2" threaded bar
3/8" threaded bar

the longest part of doing this was looking for my 1/2" speedbit cause the other bit had a shank too big to fit in the cordless

unless you count the drying stage but that was left overnight.

at the back there's another 1/2" bar in the middle too.

What they sell in stores these days as entertainment units is rubbish.

Looks nice.

What are you planning on doing with the cords?

i spent $10 and bought one of those cord organiser cable thingymajigs.
But really this project has now ballooned out to a total cost of about $120 bucks now after I decided I needed another shelf (still had a sheet of mdf the same size in the garage )I figured I'd put a backboard on it.

Also decided the high gloss white wasn't exactly doing it for me so I've got rid of the white and used a tin of stain I had in the garage with the most in it.that turned out to be cedar then also hit it all with a can of spray clear just to give it a little shine.
