Hi, I was lucky enough to get that lathe http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/images/icons/icon7.giffor my wife to make her pens and lace bobbins...she is absolutely thrilled after the old H&F wl 18 and she was too scared to go near my Minimax T124 that I do table legs with.
Of course, she now needs some accessories like a short toolrest and some different chuck bits for holding small stuff. At the price I got it for I believe she should get them.
Question:- is there anyone else other than the big boys like carbatec, trend etc that sell stuff to suit and are deserving of some support?
Have spent enough at Carbatec.
Thanks in advance
Boris

Try this bloke (http://www.cws.au.com/) some say he is alright - not a bad bloke even - not what i would consider one of the big blokes but i think you will do ok.

not sure I'd call Trend one of the big guys

I like to some of the products from vermec (http://www.vermec.com/)
and they are good to deal with

Carroll's is a sponsor of the forum and deserves at least a look, Trend is a small family concern with a good connection with Technatool. I bought my lathe from them and they're good people to do business with.
Cheers

What size tool post and length do you need? I got a whole lot of tool rests with my lathe, but half of 'em are the wrong size.

Thanks to all who contributed...Looks like she is going to CWS and getting the Sorby modular toolrest in the 6 inch by 1 inch combination.
She loves the lathe....
Thanks again
