Hi guys. Haven't been around much lately. Playing nursemaid to a dozen baby goats on top of everything else I have to do is cutting into my woodworking time. Bottle feeding twelve hungry kids twice a day gets old fast! Here's an Emperor kit in spalted tamarind. Comments and criticisms welcome as always.

Hi mate easy to separate the goats from the pen, nice to see you your pen almost looks like a puzzle pen cut out, like it a lot subdued understatement it has about it, goes with your rural setting. We kept a goat in town once swear it was smart as, my lovely SWMBO grew up on a farm said she never learned to milk so I had to. Could sit down anywhere on a stool and milk so friendly, demanded a walk around the block when I came home from work, the goat used to hear me coming well before the family and carry on a treat.
To see you back on site is a pleasure.

hmm
I'll go against the flow

I really like the timber but I think it would be better suited to a plain kit
ie, in my view the kit and timber are competing for attention

Thanks for the comments, fellow turners. My wife and I have a farm in northern Virginia where we raise horses, black Angus cattle, hogs, and diary goats. Last year we completed construction of a diary and got USDA Grade A approval on it. With the addition of a Grade A cheese making license we now make and sell many varieties of goat cheese. Flavored chevres, brine aged feta, and some hard, aged cheese as well like our chipotle cheddar with a tequila/chipotle washed rind and a chocolate/truffle hard cheese with a waxed coating.

You bring up a good point, Sawdust Maker, about the kit competing with the timber. I think I will try that timber on a stretch pen next to test your theory. Thanks! :)

Another beauty Al and that blank looks like it is a piece of parchment with an old map on it. :2tsup::2tsup:

Congratulations on the way the farm is going a big pity you are so far away :((

That's a great lot of quality pictures there as well.

Do you sell the goat meat as well?

Good to see you back BTW, I have also been very quite on the internet scene. The work load with the new house and the shed building are keeping me busy. Started on the wiring of the shed today.
