I put a thread in the timber section (http://www.woodworkforums.com/f14/found-enourmous-stash-timber-slabs-115309/) but I don't know if many people saw it. Anyway I thought I'd put it here too.

In my wanderings in the Dandenongs I had spied down a lane way enormous piles of slabbed timber. In the car at the time so never investigated more closely. Walking this morning a wandered down the lane and chatted to the bloke. He has all this slabbed timber. All salvaged from tree loppers and suchlike in the hills. Some slabs a meter wide and 3 meters long. Any wood you can think of. A lot of cedar of various types. (japanese, deodora, etc, ) As well as Blackwood (beautiful fiddle backed as well. ) Silkyoak, Hakia, english oak, elm, maple, burls, and anything else you can think of. Some gorgious Vic Ash even. http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/images/smilies/cool.gif So if you are after something special give him a call. He is in Kallists. (If all his stuff was in 's shed, it would be filled to the brim.http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/images/smilies/standard/biggrin.gif )
