Hi, I recently bought an ex-TAFE milling machine made in Poland by JAFO, I think it's an FWD32 but I'm not completely sure. I'm looking to get hold of a scan of the manual or buy a photocopy. The mill is missing the ISO40 arbours and the arbour supports. This was auctioned by Pickles at Archerfield and apparently was one of a lot of nineteen, so the matching supports and arbour would have been piled up on a pallet and sold as one lot. If anyone happens to have a pallet of supports in their shed similar to the ones in the last photo, i'd be interested in buying a set. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
That is a nice solid looking machine you have.:2tsup: It wont be any good without the arbour support, so I will take it of your hands for you to save you the worry.:D

I was just reading your auction ordeal on practical machinist a few hours ago, were do these guys get there brains from, taking all the parts off different machines and selling them separate in a pallet allotment?:?

If you cant get hold of the original arbour supports have you thought of making them?
I own a Chinese H/V mill and would like a second arbour support. I have thought about using weldments to make it up, then machining the dovetails. For the arbour bush hole it could be bored in position on the machine.
Since this is a non moving part once set up, I cant see why it wouldn't work. I know cast iron has a lot more dampening properties over steel, but for an arbour support I think it would do the job.

Hi Dave, I've always found that the instant you fabricate a set, someone pops up and says something like "Oh!, I just threw a set out yesterday". This time I thought I'd be proactive and ask around a bit before casting a set in aluminium and fitting some bronze bushes.
