Red Gum

Hi All
tried somthing a bit different for me any way
This speakers Gavell and block ( don't know the correct name) is for a mate of mine who is in some speaking club and has just been made the Boss and as the Boss he has his "hammer and block"
The wood is Red Gum from the south coast of NSW and the insert in the block is Rock maple finished to 600 and EEE 2 coats of friction polish

very nice set , like the contrast . some thing along those lines is on my to do list and has been for a while
