The Cherry is quite cute and sails fine.

It does have one defect though - and it is not the fault of the boat. Because of the cabin everyone tends to think it is stable and secure and very unlikely to capsize - like a mini Yacht.

But its stability is really in the large dinghy class - quite good, but not as good as people expect it will be.

If you know about this it is not a problem - a good little boat. But if you head off thinking you are in a little yacht you could get into trouble.

Nice page on them

Remember the lead post in this subforum - about getting someone with experience look at the boat before you buy or you could buy something of little value or too expensive to fix.

Hi Guys, I brought this boat. The ebay pictures are on this site in the album Cherry 334.
I have a 420 mast that fits well and have started cleaning up the interior and stripping the
topsides.

Congrats. Sounds like you paid for the trailer and got her free, at that price.

I thought of buying her, but decided to stick with my Hartley. The Cherry vs Hartley 16 was discussed in this forum. Link is below

Please keep us posted with photo's of her progress. I'd love to see photo's of her sailing. Cheers
