This is a clock I have made for the local men's hairdresser.

His old clock was on its way out but I have been able to re uses the hands. I have tried to purchase new ones but have as yet not found anyone with them.

The timber is a slice of Sydney Blue Gum and the finish is WOP. The slice came from Mark at 043 wood turning.

Just a question> Shouldn't the numbers be on back to front?

All types of hairdressers I suppose so all types of hairdressers clocks as well, But I also was anticipating one that ran anticlockwise with a mirror image face. Lot harder to get mechanisms for them though.

Those mechanisms are easier to get than you think. You can get them online from many of the major suppliers. Klockit and Emperor both come to mind. The motor is made to run in reverse. Then just place the numbers in reverse. Time runs backward this way.:D
