Hi,

I bought one of the pendant backer jigs from the IAP forum recently, as my wife and daughter have been looking at some of the pendants that have been made on the IAP site and wanted to have a go.

I made my own jig out of a few bits of dowel and timber, but its been much easier with the aluminium jig.

Here is my first attempt using a bit of scrap walnut.

I also turned an acrylic one with some acrylic I bought at the WWW show on the weekend.

043Turning had some nice thicker blocks of acrylic with glitter in them , and when sliced up they worked out less than $1.50 a blank.

I turned one up for my mum, who is also into woodturning and was visiting with us.

She left this morning with it before I got a photo, but I'll turn another and post.

These are fun and quick, and seem to be in fashion at the moment, so I've glued up a few segmented timber blanks also to see how they go.

Good show!
I was wondering what one would look like with those arcs. First I thought Smiley Face with several grins... so I didn't try it.
That looks good! Well done! :2tsup:
