Hi all,

I am looking at a small scale project involving African blackwood. Basically i have the parts made in G10 which work to great effect but want to try the same in African blackwood.

I'm looking for information in small scale shops who'd take on an experimental project with a view to bulk manufacturing should it prove a goer.

Or I would welcome any offers from guys on the forums with access to lathe mill who'd be intereted in helping me out to see if it works and is worth pursuing.

I'm in croydon Victoria but can travel a reasonable distance to do or even post the g10 part for a copy to be done in African blackwood. I'd pay for your time obviously.

The parts vary between 3-5" and are around 1/2" in diameter. The bore is approx 1/4" and a flat would be milled along part of the length.

Should anyone be able to help out or point me in the direction of a shop that would do this kinda thing it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks

George

I would speculate a mouth piece for a woodwind musical instrument, saxophone, clarinet, etc.
