My Huskvarna 16 inch chainsaw hasn't been used for about 3 years. I am a bit concerned about starting it when the cylinder must be dry. Is there anything I should pour down the spark plug hole to lubricate it? The fuel tank is empty and as is the oil tank, so it will be getting new oil and fresh petrol mix of course. Anything else I should to?

Swill it out a few times with petrol , rinse with fuel mix and let it dry

you could put a few drops of light machine oil in the sparkplug hole to lube the bore for the first half dozen pulls and pour a little fresh 2 stroke down the carby and pull it over gently a couple of times b4 you get too serious about starting it.

I use a few drops of raw lube oil and pull the starter gently a few times with the spark plug out.
