Those rock fences are all the go around here - the neighbour across the road just built one :)
Funny how fashions come and go - but this one I like too - reminds me of driving to the local in Hertsfordshire many years ago.

Stoney Rises. West of Colac, I think. They had to do something with the rocks scattered over the land! ;)

West of Colac they are between Mortlake and Noorat in this instance although there are several sites.
Built well over a century ago I believe and saved numerous plough shears.

We've got a heap of Canola up here at the moment. Then theres the curse. Fields of yellow and purple, it's really pretty. Pity its so noxious.

these fences are fairly common in parts of the Eyre Peninsular built I am told late 1800's early 1900's.
same reason rocky paddocks
