Another interesting item that came in to the shop.
A tail rotor of a chopper.

The guy that got Chopper's tail rotor is probably dead and doesn't need it anymore anyway!

Or sitting in an Airport Lounge waiting for a connecting flight.....

The best thing is the Red wine, as soon as the bottle is empty, they replace it..... :D

Leave Herbie alone, I used to have two of them, a 1958 and a 1964.
Never managed to outrun a ferrari though (or a Fiat Bambino), must have been duds.
Remember when they used to show Herbie at the drive ins (remember them, many of the younger BB members were probably conceived their) and anyone in a VW got free entry?

Yeah, I got in free....had the back(upright bit) of the back seat out of mine to make it more comfy in drive-ins :o . Even at that price it wasn't worth the admission!

Gidday Cliff,

Im wondering which Airport Lounge youre frequenting? I live half my life in the Qantas lounges and Ive never seen a decent bottle of red.....theres usually only a choice of one red or one white and its usually mediocre stuff. For all the flying I do Id at least expect the choice to be a '91 or a 98 Grange or Hill of Grace.

Not impressed with Qantas's Business class these days either.....about all your getting is a bit more leg space. Wouldnt bother if the client wasnt paying for it.

BA & Qantas lounge in Hong Kong & Heathrow....
Didn't get to try one in Italy, bludy nearly missed the plane 'cos the
damned Italian train wasn't on time.
Hong Kong had the best wine, (Aussie) silly poms had french spit.
The best thing in the Heathrow was a toss up between the Newcastle Brown Ale,
the Canada Dry in little tins & the tomatoe juice... the coffee was good. ;)
The Club lounges are not a pinch on what they used to be BUT...
when you are on a long haul, they are good for a shower, a cup of coffee,
glass of red & free internet sitting down.
(you can get free internet standing up in Hong Hong)

The best bit & the only reason for going business class is the better seats.
We had to go Australian Airlines for the Cairns Hong Hong leg & we got
real lucky on the way over... we checked in at Cairns & they checked us
all the way through in business class seat numbers IE row 4, & the
Australian Airlines 767 was being serviced so we got a Qantas 767 &
row 4 has the big seats, no bussiness class service but 7 hours in the
big seats was damned fine.
The Hong Kong to London leg is nearly 13 hours & we were on a BA 747
with the lie down seats, they were damned fine too. :)

One thing I did learn about European wine is, if you are a big Aussie red
drinker & you don't like their crap, try their bubbly, it's got more balls
than their lame ass red. :D

Don't tell me Bob. You just had a chopper land in the back yard and it doesn't have a tail rotor??:D . I knew it had to come down sometime:rolleyes:

Hi Bob.
I havent measured it but its about 5' long, and weighs a ton, well maybe half a ton.

I have got $300 on it, plenty of lookers but no takers.

Al :)
