View Full Version : My First Feather Casting

Used Ring-Neck Pheasant feathers. First layer of "Herts" and second layer of "Church Windows".

Still working on refining my technique of applying the feathers to keep them attached to the tube as well as keeping the top layer from floating in the Polyester resin.

So far so good!

How did you attach the feathers prior to casting?

Certainly a great result there ! might I suggest using a white background on the tube to lighten the whole effect .Beautifully done all round ,guess I will throw away my "chook" feathers and and look for something more appropriate hehe, cheers ~ John :2tsup::2tsup:

I'm still working on my technique and once I have it perfected I will probably do up a tutorial.
