hi guys
just thought i would show off my first emperor fountain pen and also my first true stone blank
i had been researching on how to drill it and turning it before i started it
didnt want to stuff it up i had no problems with drilling didnt use any water just some compressed air now and again
sanded to 12k micromesh and the finished with rustins burnishing cream
looks way better in the flesh than my pics
thanks for looking

Hey Troy,

Nice job, I have a couple of those blanks, haven't been game to try them.

with all the threads around mentioning the problems with drilling and turning it was not a problem just a bit harder than a acrylic blank but i did take my time

To be honest I think the blank gets lost under all the bling of that kit. It may not be true in person but in the photos that is how it appears to me.

Looking beyond that you have done a very nice job on turning and finishing and it is a nice looking blank well done:2tsup::2tsup:

Well, I can confirm it looks better in the hand, than in the photo.

Troy gave me a closer look at it, dropped in to my shop on his way to work this morning.

Good on ya Troy, it's a real beauty :2tsup:.
