After a few sleepless nights I have completed my Sycamore Maple bowl
complete with the trimmings.
The attached photos show the basic bowl, three rings glued into the base,
three white tea light battery operated candles now painted black, a lid
for the bowl and a pewter outer lid.
Some small pebbles can be added to the inside of the bowl to meld in
with the candles and some pot pourri can be added to the lid below
the pewter.
When switched on the candles can be viewed via the "portholes".

Cant say I have seen one like this before but my imagination was
running wild at the time.:2tsup:

Ray, it is a "multifunctional" item --- if real candles are placed under
there I can cook breakfast with it.:D

Thanks for your comments folks.

Thank you all for your comments.

Jim, at least you can warm your hands up with it when
next visiting Melbourne for the Aust. Woodturning Exhibition.:2tsup:

I've seen this piece in the flesh (or wood), it was very well made, a credit to him.
These strange ideas Alan is getting, I don't know who is inspiring him to think outside the square.
