My current project; making a set ‘atique style’ screwdrivers. Today I completed the handles, they are al made of native woods.

Sanded to 1200 gritt, then polished with EEE ultrashine, and at last a coating of Shellawax.

The woods are from left to right: pear, plum, alder (very common here), cherry, laburnum, robinia and walnut. All native woods, no exotics.

The next thing to do is to attach the steel parts into the handles.

They're very handsom handles! :thyel: I'm very envious of your selection of timbers.

Sweet looking handles WF, all my old screw drivers have a flat planed on one or two sides so they don't roll away when you put them down, is this an option you considered?
