A local retired friend on a limited and unstretchable budget, is looking to upgrade from an MC900 to the H&F WL-38, giving a more powerfull motor and larger turning capacity.
A quick search of the forum has not produced any information or opinion on this lathe since 2008 or prior.
Are there anyone out there, willing to share the good, the bad and the ugly about this lathe, before a commitment is made to purchase?
If there are anyone in the Melbourne eastern suburbs willing to let their WL-38 be viewed and maybe even have a lump of wood spun up, I am sure it would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

regards

Soren

I live in the western suburbs and would be Happy to let your friend have a play with it,
