Hi , the link is very interesting, I before doing my pole lathe, investigate very much up to meeting on the planes of DaVinci, this way I could discover very interesting things on this ancient tool, sometimes it is good to look at the history, we can learn much of her.:2tsup:

Those who dabble in metal might find PM interesting. There is a huge body of experience there, but they are very funny about mention of Chinese and hobby sized machines.

The South Bend and Antique threads are my favorites. I found them looking for information on my SB 10L lathe.
