Has anyone tried the new GMC 1200W biscuit jointer Model BJ110. I was wondering how it compared to the 600W MX105.
My 600W unit packed it in after 14 cuts and Bunnys didnt have a biscuit jointer in the place to replace it so I thought I'd ask around about the new model before getting another one.

Hi Termite.
Please let me know if you buy one of these. I am also interested in getting one. Unfortuantly Bunnings didn't have one on the w/end so, also waiting.

GMC didn't have the 1200w machine at the Melbourne WWS. Maybe they are still on the water?

I bought a GMC biscuit joiner about 9 months ago (850 watts or thereabouts) and it has put in hundreds of biscuits since with only one small problem. The lock on the rack and pinion was hopeless. All you got was a flimsy plastic headed screw that did not put on enough pressure to stop the fence from changing height after it was set. I replaced it with a small nut and bolt and it has worked well ever since. I have heard that if Bunnings are not much help with warranty claims then contacting GMC directly might work, but I have never tried it and I hope I never have to I suppose.

1200 watts for a biscuit joiner! But they are a very handy tool and bigger is better.
