Help cutting on an angle in cross cut mode ?

I need to bevel a couple of corner pieces for a frame normally get away with the guide in table saw mode, but these are 90mm wide, where I need the bevel.
Converted to cross cut O.K. and the saw angles to 45degrees after fiddling with one of the lock down cams.
Saw cuts fine and square at right angles as a test, but when I angle it to 45d it cuts on a taper ??? . Test cutting a piece of 140 X 25mm pine it is at 45 degrees O.K. but not square across the timber. In the 140mm it is out by 6mm against a set square.
Any ideas ? got me stumped, if I go back to a vertical cut it is fine, cuts square and vertically.

If it is cutting a piece of 140mm wide correctly at 90degreees then chances are the work is moving when you try the mitre cut.
The saw blade will tend to try to drag the work in the direction of the mitre ( if that makes sense).
You'll need to clamp the work firmly to the table to prevent any possibility of it moving

Yes thanks Ian that is the problem, I assumed that and did use clamps, maybe not tight enough ?
It makes sense as the short side is the last bit of the cut up against the fence ( actually a spacer) The 45 mitre is right just not at right angles across the timber !!

Did not say what I was using . WC 2000 with a Triton 9&1/4 in it.

Next test cut, put a small pencil mark on the timber side that is clamped down, and match it up on the fence. They should not move.

Other than that maybe one cut slightly over length then a finishing cut

Thanks guys, I thought I had control of any creep, but screwed and clamped a piece down to test and the cut is fine so I was definitely getting creep.
Now to fix that
