I brought this one to the G2G at NZ_Carver's place.

It's finally finished, ... although I had some trouble doing the final 'cuts' and then sanding the areas that had the ant hole and bark section ... :roll: ... maybe I'll have to make one of those power sanding do-hickey-ma-bobs?

Love the shape. I think that helps to show off the features in the timber.

Definitely "speccy" as in, what he said. Just bought myself a Sorby Hollowing Tool from Len Smith, didn't have one before, so looking forward to doing one of those very soon.

A very nice example.

The rim doesn't quite work for me but otherwise the shape is terrific. The timber features are beautiful. It is a lovely bowl and worth showing off.

Nice plain form lets the wood be the feature and nice bit if wood it is. I like it.
