Over the last couple of weeks someone was querying the availability of paddle type safety switch for fitting to wood work machinery and or router tables, well today I purchased such a beast from Carba- teck in their Balcatta branch in Perth. It was the Triton safety switch similar to the unit fitted to all their work centres. It was the same switch that was available previously before they closed down. For those interested the switch was selling for $35.00 each and they had about 3 or 4 in stock.
They were also selling another safety switch with out the paddle operation feature for $65.00.
In comparison then for $35.00 the Triton switch is not a bad buy.
Cheers,
Mac

Thanks Malcolm. It was me! I was in Carbatec Melb today and found they had them in stock also. I picked one up for $35. Fantastic :2tsup:.

Hello,

Just searched Carba Tec and they dont stock them any more.

Anybody bought one recently from somewhere else ?

Have just made a drum sander and am making a lathe and would like to put this style of switch on them.

Regards

Bill

I would give them a call. The paddle switch is probably stocked as a spare part for the Triton range instead of a main stock item.
