Thanaka 29th October 2010, 08:16 AM What a relief, as good as finished.
made from second-hand ironbark (that's what they said it was).
had to send the boards for the top to a joinery for squaring.
this timber is unbelievably dense and heavy and really hard work sanding.
design is copied from a mate's table.
anyhow when i look at it now i kinda like it.
Claw Hama 29th October 2010, 08:38 AM Very nice job, dense and heavy sure sounds like Ironbark, well done.
Waldo 29th October 2010, 09:30 AM Yeah, I like that. :2tsup:
(Wongo get over to where you're meant to be)
groeneaj 29th October 2010, 11:24 AM A very nice table, :2tsup:

3 toed sloth 30th October 2010, 06:49 AM I like it too, very neat and simple:2tsup:
Thanaka 30th October 2010, 06:55 AM the finish is not finished so to speak.
i wanted to try the estapol/tung oil/boiled linseed mix
but had no tung oil, so just used 50/50 estapol/linseed for fun.
needs another coat or two to see if it works.
Pops 30th October 2010, 08:47 AM Hi Thanaka,
What they said. Very nice clean lines. I like Ironbark, tough stuff and I am sure your table won't blow over in a breeze either. :)
Cheers
Pops
