Hi,

I am half way through making my first furniture project - a hall table.

I have a few ways of how the drawer will fit into the table. I'll try and explain it the best I can.

Basically I have the frame (black) where I would be a piece of wood (from memory the drawer is about 200mm wide, so this piece would be about 280mm wide and 15-20mm thick). I would then put two strips, approx 20mm thick (orange) onto the wide piece which will act as a guide for the drawer when pulling the drawer in/out. Obviouslly the red being the drawer.

This is the simplest way I can think of doing it, perhaps the wide piece doesn't need to be this wide? maybe just 60mm wide piece with a 20mm strip each side?

Thanks for any help.

Andy

This is a pic of the second example I explained. Come to think of it I think it seems a better idea

Thanks for the pics Terry.
So does the drawer have a guide? Or does it just sit on those rails?

Got it!
Thanks Terry - I probably should have looked at how you did the drawer when it was right infront of me the other week!
