Hey Guys

Well still going nuts practicing :2tsup: so I started this one this afternoon only done the outside but so far so good I really like the form one this one :2tsup: so far its 85mm high and 215mm width :q Im thinking of maybe finishing it with wipe on poly when the inside is turned :?

Is there alot to learn in bowl turning? I'm thinking of getting into turning next yr, with the idea of making bowls.

Ian, hard to tell from the pics, but am assuming that you'll be reverse chucking in expansion mode into a mortise in the base. If so, don't apply too much pressure when expanding the jaws as it looks like there is not a whole lot of wood at the base.

Bringing the tailstock up to help support the blank while hollowing is added insurance also.

Hey andy it is not hard to learn just alot of practice thats all but if you dont mind then its worth it in the end :). Hey ed i will doing just that and i will be using the tail stock :) ian
