Seems that many providers are having trouble keeping up with the increasing amount of web trafic. This is one of the reasons for this BB and other stuff not refreshing for some people. This was the reason for the Secret Mens Busines Forum. To try for a few answers.

's answer (after reinstaling everything and running massive systems checks etc. for 2 days) was to try another provider. His problem was solved immediately. His provider denied that there was a problem at their end. Strange. http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/confused.gif

A young computer genius told me today that this problem is rife with many of the bigger providers. The refresh rates of some are horrific as much as half an hour for a normal 20 second download.

He also told me of a fix that works for many of the servers.

Hold down Ctrl & Shift while you click on the Refresh/Reload button. Apparently this forces the server to refresh its cache. This could be another answer to a buggar of a problem. It does not work with all servers but might work with yours. Give it a try. You have nothing to lose.

Another answer might be to install Windows ME. I did a clean install on my computer 4 weeks ago and it has never run better. The internet runs much, much faster. I would say every bit as fast as broadband & maybe 3-4 times faster than under 98 Second Edition.

I can't recommend it highly enough. However it really does need to be installed on to a clean drive and not installed as an update over 98. It seems to bring the old baggage along for a ride when done that way. I tried the upgrade thing and didn't like it at all. http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/frown.gif

Hope this is of some help.
