Hello All
I have been very busy turning, cray diving and doing other stuff. Thought I would post some picys of my latest stuff.
All are finsihed in Danish oil.
Willy 1 Is a small chunk of Jarrag root ball burl, approx 200mm across and 50mm high
Willy 2 Is York Gum burl, approx 250mm across (with added feature, a couple of holes)
Willy 3 Is York Gum burl, approx 270mm across
Willy 4 Is Jarrah burl, approx 410mm across

Willey has been a busy boy :D

#3 has my vote for the favorite...would have been #2 'cept for the straight edge on the RH side.

Hey Willy,

That York Gum looks really Speccy, You don't get many off cuts do you :D, I'm not far away and would be more than willing to help clean up, if you need a hand.

Thanks for the comments. I too prefer number 3, although the rootburl is quite different, and hard on a chainsaw blade.
Hazza B, Sorry mate, all offcuts go the the firewood bin to keep the little Nelson children warm of a night time, you know how cold it is at the moment in WA :wink:

Hello Willy,

As one wood turner once told me what his opinion was about turned objects, "if the object holds water it is a bowl if it does not it is a piece of art". Very nice work indeed and no 2 and 3 get my vote.
