When I acquired my 13 it was fitted with optical micrometers on the X and Y axes.
These devices are imperial, the machine is metric and I wanted to fit some more useful, to me, metric graduated scales. I was extremely fortunate to be able to purchase a pair of scale holders from the seller of my machine. Whilst the Y axis scale came with the original adjustable pointer, there was no pointer fitted to the X axis scale.

Phillip "Metalman" doesn't have the pointer on his machine, a ten year older 13, so I thought that I would attach a few photos of the version I've made, for his benefit and maybe for anyone else who might be interested. The catalogue illustrations of the scale and pointer are not very illuminating but there is an exploded parts drawing that provided me with some direction.

The pointer and holder are 4E cast iron, the 9.5mm rod, 316 stainless and the knurled screw is 4140.

Next step is to speak with Mark " Graziano" about some metric scales.

Regards Bob.
