Need Advise (buying AEG 'Blue range') Tools

Recently the AEG "blue range" has been replaced by the AEG orange.....,
Quality / durability wise, is the blue AEG better :? than the 'new orange' tools??

I'm planning to buy the AEG KS 66 S circular Saw (blue), that has the following spec:

I need your kind advice, does it worth to buy this tool ?
(I've seen one shop selling this C/Saw on clearance item, and thats the last stock they have. PRICE around AUD $ 200 or Rp 1,800,000 in Indonesian Rupiah)

Don't know about the item you're buying but I bought a Blue 18v cordless drill some years ago. It was excellent but when I needed batteries I found they were $145 each and needed to replace both.
The drill cost me $470 new and has now been sitting in it's case for 5 years.
I should imagine their 240v equipment would be good value.

Most types can be; not lithium ion though.

My understanding is the "orange range" is the "made in china" range
to be able to compeat on price with other brands
who were also manufacturing in China.
The old "blue range" used to be very good for quality tools;
but I'm not sure about the "orange range"
especially as it's marketed big time through Bunnings.

The first power tool i bought in 1985 was an AEG CS 8 1/4" . It is still going now and has never had any repairs or even new brushes. Noisy as hell but so dependable , and powerful. A friend bought the same saw and had exactly the same result with heaps of use over the years. HOWEVER, they were made in Germany,are the newer blue AEG , power tools made in germany? If so buy them ! The orange ones look cheap, but better than equivalent ryobi's etc.
Spend the money once.

I have a vast knowledge of AEG products and I would steer clear of any that are made in China, if it's blue and made in Germany on it , buy it.Their saws will last a lifetime.

It might say "Germany "on the tool but this does not mean it is made IN Germany.

Thanks for the suggestion and advices. I'm aware that some blue AEG may came from China..., especially if it's only in printed sticker, it also may say 'made in Germany'. I recall Gerhard suggest to look for one with : "made in Germany' printed/embossed on the tool body, NOT just a sticker.

I have had AEG tools for many years, and the more recent orange tools I have purchased seem to be of similar quality to the blue ones, I'll have to wait another 30 years to find out if they last as long.

I bought an AEG belt sander about 2 years ago and I could not be happier. It confirmed my belief that AEG are a brand to hold in high regard.
