Mrs Woodpecker 9th January 2011, 09:07 PM These are a couple of Black Wattle bowls I have completed. The timber had been sitting in a friends back yard for yonks and was very hard, and had to battle abit of cracking. Sanded to 400, and given 5 or 6 coats Shellawax, then finished with Carnauba wax.
Cheers, Shirley
Ad de Crom 9th January 2011, 10:11 PM Shirley, lovely bowls.
The left bowl seems perfect for a party bowl, so for the household, and for that reason my favorite.

Thanks Vern.
Glad to see you are back home. Hope things are OK floodwise. We are isolated here on Southside, but high and dry. The SES are sending boats over every 1/2 hour, and we have police and ambos situated over here as well. Thank God for the lathe or I would be stir crazy.
Cheers, Shirley
