That's a good price Peter! The usual going rate ATM is around $10 per Kg.

Try Redpaths in Parkdale, near the railway station. They are always buying and selling wax. That's where I get my apiary supplies from.

If you don't mind me asking Bupton what's the beez wax for? As a finish it does tend to collect dust, maybe have a look at Ubeauts wax TRADITIONAL WAX (http://www.ubeaut.com.au/trad.html)

Was going to make some finishes and add a small amount of harder wax to make it less prone to gather dust.

I found this on the Internet.

Thanks for that. It looks dangerous, good on you for having a go but please be careful!

Definitely
Things like a double pot with water in the middle, gloves and glasses, low heat and also I think heating it out side.

You could of course purchase a wax pot (http://beauty.shop.ebay.com.au/Beauty-Health-/26395/i.html?_nkw=wax+pot&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282) and use it for heating animal glue between melting wax.

The majority of wax polishes I use, I make myself. It's handy to keep a selection of waxes for all eventualities.
