Remember from the first post invite:

...
After the draw is made contact your partner, make a pen and send it post haste, blanks can be exchanged also if desired, that's between you and your partner. The swap is open to all styles of pens, discuss with your partner. Please complete all swaps by 31st March 2011

When your partner's swap is received, take a photo and post to the forum (and brag about the nice wood you've received). We'll set up another thread for these photos etc
Please PM or email me if you if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. I may or may not respond depending on my mood etc. :D

Let's have fun!

Remember if you have any problems, difficulties, disasters etc please contact me

And thanks to all those whom put up their hand to do an extra pen to balance the numbers!
We ended up with 46 Aussies and 48 mates from foreign climes!

* The pairings were completely randomised using the voodoo of microsoft excell. If anybody wants to know how PM me

I have had the sh#ts with my pens lately every time I go to make some it all turns to cow pop so I have not even been on this site but it just hit me that Australia day has just been and there is a swap on so I jumped on and seen I have been paired with someone from the USA how I can't think what his name was but it xxx in it.
Anyway I now have motivation to pull my finger out and get back on the lathe.

I entered my pen swap pen in the local Bungendore show and it took out first place in the 'any article made of wood' category:). I also took out second and third with a couple of other turned items that have appeared on the forums. Sorry folks, no pics until Donkee has it in his hands though:wink:

Just need an address to send it to now:rolleyes:

Recieved my box from Lazylathe this morning.
A well turned pen ( I'm thinking Cocobolo ) with accents, and a very nice selection of blanks, all I can say at the moment is "WOW"

Will post some pics in the other thread this afternoon when I get home.
