Hey There,

I just got some Shellawax, and had to try it out, I had this piece of (I Think Olive- Open to suggestions, I've been told otherwise) and when I did the bottom I went too far and didn't leave enough foot for a decent hold with the 50mm jaws, turned the inside with the tailstock pushed up to the centre, and couldn't get the gouge down like I wanted, but I only wanted to try the finish, ( I am Impressed:2tsup: and did a couple of pens just to try it out) the bowl is about 80mm in dia and about 50 high, I have about 1.5mm at the bottom :oo:

I love the Finish and will be using it again, on a better planned bowl or platter, Stay Tuned it will happen in 2011 :rolleyes:

Hazza, lovely bowl, a nice shiny shellawax finish.
Keep an eye on hollowing the depth, before you know.....)))
My personal advice, make a drawing,or a simple sketch (1:1) with the dimensions
And measuring is knowing.

Very nifty Harry!!:2tsup::2tsup::)

I have a mate who turns small bowls/dishes that he sells or gives away as sauce dishes.

I don't think it's Olive Harry, it might be (euc roadusbesideus), good job anyway.
