A dab of hot melt glue on the hook when you insert it will help.

Screw shelves and cabinets over peg board using the lines of hole to get the shelves square!. its horrible stuff, my shed is full of it. Hooks fall out all the time . I don't use it any more.

They won't fall out if you just dab a bit of hot melt glue on the hook as you insert it into the hole. Works a treat.

It fills the gap without being so adhesive that you cannot change your mind and relocate hooks.

Works a treat!

What mine first looked like ...

After about three years, even with adding shelves and trays etc to it, I find that it is too small and needs to be augmented...

I never have a problem with the hooks coming out though, ever since I read the hint about using hot melt glue.
