I got this ad from Woodcraft in the USA for a Triton Slide Compound Mitre Saw on special for only US$139.00 - Buy Triton 8.5" Sliding Compound Miter Saw at Woodcraft.com (http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2082404/30662/Triton-85-Sliding-Compound-Miter-Saw.aspx?refcode=11IN02NL)
They don't seem to receive top shelf reviews though.

irrespective of reviews & quality / value, I don't believe this to be a 240Volt model !!!

I agree with Strom. 60Hz, 110V. The age old problem with AC goods from the US;
US for us!:(

2.Because we are suckers !!!
This is why Gerry Harvey Is jumping up and down and making as much noise
as he can trying to get the Aust Gov to tax all internet purchases to the tune of the GST. (To make it a level playing field)
Does he really think that we are purchasing items overseas to try and save a measly 10% ????..
Wake up Gerry the cost difference is allot more than 10%..
Australian retailers have had it to good for to long..
